Airfare for Bhante Ānanda to spend the Vassa at the Pa-Auk Meditation Centre "Pyin Oo Lwin"

Dear friends,

From August through November, Bhante Ānanda plans to observe the Vassa (the three-month rains retreat) at one of the principal meditation centres of the Pa-Auk tradition — "Pyin Oo Lwin" (Myanmar) — under the guidance of the Venerable Sayadaw U Kumārābhivaṃsa.

This will be Bhante Ānanda's first journey to Myanmar, a country where the Theravāda tradition has been carefully preserved for centuries. During the trip he also plans to visit the major Buddhist holy sites and make offerings, including at the famous Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon. As there are no direct flights to Myanmar, the route will pass through Cambodia.

Itinerary

🔹 13 August — Moscow → Phnom Penh (Cambodia) — approx. ₽40,000.
🔹 14 August — Phnom Penh → Yangon (Myanmar) — approx. ₽12,000.
🔹 16 August — Yangon → Mandalay — approx. ₽7,500.
Total: approx. ₽60,000
